I create contemporary realistic oil paintings loaded with color. My colorful interpretation of life is reflected in my paintings. The challenge to explore and experiment with color variations exists at the beginning of each painting. Large brushstrokes and the liberal use of a palette knife creates the most interesting variations for me. There isn’t a subject matter I don’t love to paint from a country barn, serene marsh, to a lively street scene or cityscape. The constant study with accomplished artists inspires me to reach for the best in every painting. “Watching the joy and sometimes surprise of one observing my creations is my sweet reward. My hope is to share the vibrancies of a colorful painting and bring joy in your life and home.”
