Jan shared, "After careers in interior design and decorative painting I returned to my first artistic love of oil painting. Living and painting on Bald Head Island provides me with wonderful atmosphere and surroundings to create. 

Still life painting has been my main subject matter until I recently accidentally found myself enrolled in a plein air event on the island with All About Art.  I love it!  I now also look forward to finding interesting areas to prop my easel and spread some paint! My work is represented in several galleries in NC and VA and have had paintings used in movies and television shows.  I'm a member of Oil Painters of America and Women Painters of the Southeast."
