Anne grew up in New Jersey but
has southern roots as both of
her parents were from Durham, N.C
. She spent every summer as a child
on the South Carolina beaches and
has always loved the ocean and the
beach. After graduation from East
Carolina University she moved to
NYC. When she and her husband
moved to White Sands, New Mexico
she took a painting class.
Upon moving to Denver to go
to The University of Colorado
for graduate school she found
a wonderful art instructor
named Harold A. Wolfinbarger
Jr. and she studied painting with
him for over 20 years. He
was a graduate of the
the Art Student's League
in NYC and primarily a large
landscape oil painter. Harold
introduced Anne to watercolor
and she fell in love with the medium.
